If you have symptoms of Lyme disease, be adamant that you get treatment. Around 100,000 people in New York alone are estimated to have contracted this illness, which suggests that an enormous number of people worldwide are at risk.

Interestingly, this may be one explanation for Post-Treatment Lyme Disease Syndrome.
